"Killer weapon"

What do you think of having a weapon that have bonus against one kind of monsters ?
like dark blade "iztiel killer" , +25 AD again the iztiels

can give a lot of fun to player becoming suddenly massive destructor,
but do not unbalance the game too much because it works only on some monsters


Also good for role playing :

"legends says that long time ago iztiels raiders attacked some villager,
one of victims wanted revenge so much that his soul remained in this world, inside the blade that killed him,
now this blade is aiming for revenge ...

All tribes for the river feared the dark blade, even the stronger iztiel warriors flee when they saw it on the battlefield"

I would do it a bit more general because with would be easier to program:
There are currently 9 differrent types of npcs. For each type I would add one special weapon. For example, they could be extraordinary or even legendary items.

When you say to make it "more general" does that mean so that if it is used on a snake, it will cause more damage? No matter what kind of snake you attack? Or spider?

I, too, agree that it should be more generalized. For instance a sword that killed rats easier would affect all types of rats. The same would be true for a weapon against lizards or skeletons, it would affect all lizards and skeletons. ;)

not just Skeletons, but all Undead?

(especially now they are immune to Critical Hits)

That would work....so not just lizards or snakes, but all reptiles....not just wolves or foxes but all canines....

These are some great ideas! Weapons specific to where you would want to be EXP. grinding... The monsters that drop these Legendary, or Extraordinary items could be the same that the weapons affect. I think more specifically, like the ailiurs (<~~ not sure that it the right spelling) and/or the mongols and golems on that same path... That is currently the best, fastest place for me to train. I have likely killed a few thousand, it woulda been GREAT to get, say, an Extraordinary weapon to help with the grind!
