Is your phone rooted?

I'm just curious....

EDIT: I know there's another thread by nyktos somewhere but it didn't have a poll...

Oh, and the third option is for those who unlocked their bootloader to flash a custom ROM but don't have root access or don't want to...

Yes, one of the first things I do. Take out all those extra bloatware apps and put a custom ROM on it.

I will most likely hold off a while on doing it to my Nexus 7 since that is just running stock Android.

Yep. As soon as the warranty expired.

No, I am too lazy and not find any real reason (yet)

Yes, rooted. One of the reasons I got the Galaxy Nexus was because its supposed to be easy to unlock and root (and it was thanks to those one-click root options).

I like stock Android, so its mostly just so I can use the "requires root" apps like Titanium Backup, SetCPU, Light Flow, etc.

I unlocked it just in case, because doing so resets your phone, so I'd rather do it right away than end up having to do it later on after getting my phone how I like it. I also didn't want to wait for the "root without unlocking" methods to come out.

Haven't gotten around to it yet, partially because the only internet access I have right now is through the fone...

Battery life.

Pre-root, after 9 hours at work: <40%

Post-root and custom rom, after 9 hours at work: >80%

My highest recorded battery % after 9 hours at work was 96%. That's with the phone turned on and wifi enabled the entire time although very little actual usage.

Always rooted. I root my phones the first time I turn them on. Rooting makes your phone so much more interesting. While waiting in a long line like at the DMV or something, I'll flash new ROM's and kernals just for fun. Android is one of the major reasons why I am considering getting a degree in programming whenever I go to college. I would love to build my own custom ROM one day.
