Blackwater Mountain - STUCK!

I'm level 18, been spending quite a bit of time to get here. I'm stuck in the cabin on Blackwater Mountain with no way up or down the mountain (apparently I came ill prepare). I'm moments away from destroying all I've worked for and starting over (which would make me mad and sad...) unless someone has any suggestions or knows something I do not.

Thanks!

Did you read the journal in the cabin :?:

I suggest that you stay near the cabin and grind away. Kill, sleep, kill...
Level-up

That's what I was considering, but seeing as I can only kill what is floating around in the basement of the cabin (one creature per sleep cycle) it would take a VERY VERY long time...I was hoping for some other option...

There's a couple other topics discussing this in this very section that might help with ideas.
We can also help you better if you tell us your stats, equipment (both in-use, and not in-use), and any skills you have.

A lot of people are/were in the same situation you are in.
Just grind away is all I can say. There really isn't much else you can do.

What are your stats? What equipment are you wearing and have?

I'm currently equipped w/:

Leather Cap: 6 % BC

Jewel of Fallhaven: AP Cost -1
Flagstone's Pride: 4 AP 21% AC 1-6 AD 10 CHS 2.0 CM

Wolfpack's animal hide is killing you.

I recommend un-equipping it.

+1 with what Tek said.
I would remove the Wolfpack's Animal Hide, the 15% AC will probably benefit you more than the 2%BC or 1DR.

After that there's 2 choices:
Keep using Flagstone's pride and hope for critical hits.
Or unequip your sword so you can get 5 attacks per turn since you have the Jewel of Fallhaven, but if you're not hitting often enough, you might need the 21% AC from the sword.

The snowmen looking creatures miss fairly often and don't cause Fatigue like the Wyrm creatures. Plus, they sometimes drop a Minor potion of speed, which you can save up.

If you can make your way back down to Prim, go back to Crossgen and make your way to Loneford, there's a "shady bandit" looking guy that sells some good equipment that will help boost your Effective Critical Chance, and a dagger with 3AP cost. Then you can go back stronger.

Use save heating and hit and run tactics. Attack, flee, save if damage was inflicted, Repeat the process until you've killed the monster. Repeat on a larger scale until you're in Prim again. Then buy some potions and head out. If you fail to flee and get hit, reload previous save game.

So I wanted to first thank you all for your input. Having this resource was a HUGE help.

I leveled up 3 times and saved over 30 potions (which are REALLY hard to come by). After attempting to get down the mountain, I was killed by the second to last monster (Very Easy - critical hit of 24 put me out).

In a fit of frustration, I deleted the character and have started over. Which is frustrating, but at the same time, now that I know what is out there, I can craft one more around what I'd like to build without the random level up and skill wastes that come with uncertainty.

Even will all my frustrations, I still can't get enough of this game!! I love it!
