Jewel of blackwater

I read a post about the positives of the blackwater dagger and sword and came up with this idea

The Jewel of blackwater= -1AP + the ability to equip the blackwater dagger/sword rendering the blackwater misery condition inaffective
Quest idea =what about if we could use the person missing from the blackwater cabin, once you find him he proceeds to tell you about the Jewel that was stolen from the blackwater settlement from a mob of thieves many years ago, he knows of the whereabouts of the Jewel because he was one of the thieves who stole it ! He gives you a map to its location, once there you must steal it back and bring it back to him so he can transform it into the necklace for you or something like, just a simple idea so any thoughts on this one !

Not that much if you change a little bit the story. The thief stole a special symbol of Kazaul which protects the bearer from the Blackwater Misery. You retrieve the symbol (dungeon under the lost cabin?). Once you did that you may bind the symbol to the Jewel of Fallhaven to create the Jewel of Blackwater. You can wear the symbol in the necklace place without binding it to the JoF.
Maybe a second quest after which the old thief offers you to bind the Symbol of Kazaul to the Jewel of Fallhaven?

Still overpowered, some of the Blackwater item are too good if you don't suffer the misery.

skip the -1 AP and make it just get rid of the Misery, and it's ok.

As this game progresses all weapons are gonna get better anyway so all the blackwater gear without the condition are not going to be overpowering IMO so I think taking the -1AP off doesn't really mater !

So what's the point in having these weapons if you can't get the full potential out of them, all im saying is when the game progresses it going to get harder and new weapons that will have better stats than the ones we can obtain at the moment will be introduced into the game via quests probally so that's why I can't see a problem with this, ok drop the -1AP maybe but I would still introduce a quest to gain the Jewel

Some items have to be "best of the game": if not these which then? From what we hear scottdog is correct, things will get tougher, so as a future development it makes sense - could be an interesting quest.
