Just wondering, how many of you have kept it for sentimental reasons? My most recent four builds have all kept it, though none of them use it anymore, but I figured it couldn't hurt to lose 111 gold when I've got 5000.

I always kept it. Keeping it on my new build too. Seems wrong to sell a gift that provided sp much help early on.

I sold it in all three builds. Money is tight when first leaving home.

In 6.11 game knows what equipment you have your inventory and/or equipped... You need to sell any of yours extraordinary items and then walk the Remgard road naked (wearing nothing). Start in Loneford and go to smith in Remgard. After that he feels sorry about you and offers some new upgradable items for you.

Ooooh! Gotta have that thong. Just completed Remgard quests. Got the Marrowtaint necklace (so good). Not sure my level 61 would survive a naked ramble to Remgard.
