I would work on getting some more HP. Do you have any fortitude? Also please refresh me on QS?

Quick Strike (dagger)

HP is the obvious choice, but as I forgot to mention, I am going for a very high damage build, should I just keep pouring level ups into DR or is there a better way? also what equipment would be best?

Thanks for responding

look at my signature I use QS.
Skills: lv 5 fortitude, lv8 regeneration, lv 12 corpse eater, lv20 Fortitude 2,lv 24 speed I, Lv 30 speed II, lv 35 fortitude 3
Lv 36-40-44 can be used for evasion or a new weapons skill coming up in next update.
I used Lv 16 skill point in raising AC, but could be used in something else
Lv hp to have enough for lv 5 fortitude.

I used only 3 lv up in hp in 37 lv.

Lv up goes to get AD to 10 and AC to 100, than you want AD to 20, and AC to 125.

Welcom to the forums !

Do you like to have critical hit build or are you planning to go with high AD ?

IMO, 1 DR isn't really helping a lot. I wouldn't advise getting bark skin for your build, as DR and quickstrike aren't really that compatible until you've got a lot of money and can go back and forth between all cities easily. Here's how the two work:

Quickstrike involves getting in as much damage as possible in the first round, and fleeing if things get bad. Basically, it's an all-out offense build with hit-and-run abilities as its first and last line of defense.

Damage Resistance, on the other hand, involves taking swings at the enemy without caring how hard they hit you. With extreme DR builds, this is usually the case: they have high damage, and high hp, and ten to fourteen damage resistance. By extreme, I mean godlike.

So, if you manage to combine the two in a mixture of offense and defense, hit and run wouldn't work so well, as the armors that offer damage resistance do not offer lowered move costs. The coward's boots would probably have to go as well, meaning that at best you may only take three hits at the enemy until you must flee. However, the maximum of DR your character can get would also be limited to around 8. Here's why:

The entire point of quickstrike practically revolves around the Jewel of Fallhaven or the Marrowtaint. The Damage Resistance builds depend usually on the Necklace of the Protector. All of the above mentioned gears are necklaces. And not to mention the fact that to get bark skin, you would need to have a pretty good Block chance, which goes against the entire point of Quickstrike builds. And as for the Jinxed ring of Damage resistance, there's the fact that you probably need the villain's ring or the Ring of Lesser Shadow to be efficient at quickstrike for the moment. So, in short, it would be almost impossible to have a build with good DR and quickstrike at the same time.

Andrew, DR = Damage Resistance and AD = Attack Damage. You gain a skill point every 4 levels which you would be good in following Lordlace's idea. Get fortitude at lvl 5, lvl 20, and lvl 36. You can upgrade AC (Attack Chance), AD, HP, or BC (Block Chance) every level. I would suggest getting AD and AC for your levels. Also I find lvl 2 corpse eater, lvl 1 regeneration, and lvl 2 combat speed are very helpful. As for equipment, before making it to Remgard, I like 2 rings of the protector, a JoF (Jewel of Fallhaven), crude iron helm, superior cjainmail, Woodcutters boots (you may want to kill Vacor for his that give more AC, gloves of the troublemaker, and a Defender's shield. Sorry on typos, my phone doesn't let me fix them very easily.. Also keep an eye on requirements for skills, like base HP required for fortitude.

You guys kill me so much :!: if you focus on BC then you need not worry about any of these things. Corpse eater, regeneration, hit-and-run, are not need if you don't get hit.

Thanks everyone, I feel welcome already! :)

Wyrm makes some good points as does Lavic, I think I will go for DR, even though I have to level up BC some.

Of course I can just make a new build and try both.

Lord Lancelot, Its a bit too late for me to do that, maybe a new account that starts with fortitude on 5 and goes for BC on the others to get bark skin by level 12.

This forum community is my favorite so far.

Well, you do get through monsters faster if you go for all-out offense, but, yeah, quickstrike builds have some weaknesses that are easily exploited by monsters like plaguestriders.
