first of all zen, you need to ditch that armor and get the villains leather armor....secondly, you need to go back for the polished ring or you will get killed in the iqhan cave.

zen1979 wrote:hello, I would also like to know where's the best place for me to grind for exp. My stats below:

Level 21
Total exp 176133
Total AP 11
HP 43
AP 2
AC 169%
AD 15
CHS 18
BC -7%
DR 1

Wearing:
Fine Green Hat (BC + 2%)
Wolfpack's animal hide (AC - 15%, BC + 2%, DR + 1)
Jewel Of Fallhaven (AP - 1)
Quickstrike Dagger (AP = 3 AP, AC + 20%, BC - 20%)
Polished ring of backstabbing (AC + 21%, AD + 4, CHS + 7)
Ring of backstabbing (AC + 17%, CHS + 7, BC + 3%)
Troublemaker's gloves (AC + 7%, CHS + 4, BC + 4%, HP + 1)
Vacor's boots of attack (AC + 9%, BC + 2%)

Actually I wanted to buy another polished ring of backstabbing, but realized that I'm gone too far away, now in Iqhan Cave. Do I need to go back to another place to grind? Thanks.
Grinding: I'd reccomend at this time the gargoyle caves, the cave has a good amount of money you can earn (by collecting items to sell or gold) and the chance to obtain the Ring Of Lesser Shadow... just be careful, many men have lost their minds in the dark recesses of that cave.

-------------equipment-------------------------------------------------------------------
Hat: the Fine Green Hat doesn't have much of a bonus to it, I'd recommend finding a better hat, .
Armor: For sure get rid of this armor and trade up for the Villians Armor. It lowers your move cost and raises your critical chance
Ring: Replace the ring of backstabbing with a second Polished Ring of backstabbing, you can get a second one from the guy in the crossroads guardhouse after resting (resetting timers)
Boots: Have you finished the bees quest by the woodcutters? They have some boots for sale that are very powerful.
Weapon: If you can make it to the end of the Iqhan Cave and beat the boss you will obtain one of the best weapons in the game. The Dagger Of The Shadow Priest (has a low AP cost and decent crit chance)
Gloves: GOOD CHOICE! Those gloves are fantastic for critical damage builds.
Shield: Are you currently using a shield?

Great, then I'll go back to Gargoyles Cave for exp, money and the RolS and keeping in mind to get the Villian's Armor, 2nd Polished Ring of Backstabbing.

Yes, I've finished the Bees quest, but doesn't have enough money to buy a better hat and boots and I'm not wearing any shield, same issue, not enough money. So I'll definitely go to gargoyles cave. Thanks guys.

Edit:
Ohh, let say if I'm going to grind for RolS, do I still need to buy the 2nd Polished Ring of Backstabbing?

Building up money to buy equipment is my #1 priority when starting a new player. Once i have the gear i need i can take on just about anything.

if you are really strapped for cash the Flagstone Prison is also an excellent place to get some quick cash. ;)

Yes, you're right. I think I'll visit the Wolf Cave, then the Gargoyle's Cave and the Flagstone Prison to stock up on healing items and money. ^_^

Edit (Now wearing):
Leather Cap (BC + 6%)
Superior Hard Leather Armour (BC + 15%)
Jewel of Fallhaven (AP - 1)
Quickstrike Dagger (AP = 3, AC + 20%, BC - 20%)
Villian's Ring (X2) (AC + 25%, AD + 3-6, HP + 4)
Troublemaker's Gloves (AC + 7%, CHS + 4, BC + 4%, HP + 1)
Vacor's Boots of Attack (AC + 9%, BC + 2%)

In inventory:
Villian's Blade (AP = 4, AC + 20%, AD + 1-2, CHS + 5, CM = 3.0)
Venomous Dagger (AP = 4, AC + 10%, AD + 1-2, CHS + 5, CM = 2.0)
Flagstone's Pride (AP = 4, AC + 21%, AD + 1-6, CHS + 10, CM = 2.0)
Dagger of the Shadow Priest (AP = 4, AC + 20%, AD + 1-2, CHS + 20, CM = 3.0)
Polished Ring of Backstabbing (X2) (AC + 21%, AD + 4, CHS + 7)

Yeah, I still couldn't find a shield that adds to BC and doesn't decrease AC. My question: Is my current equipment good enough or is there anything that I should switch with my inventory?

Edit2:
Since now my Attack Cost is 2 AP, if I get the Villian's Armour, will my Attack Cost becomes 1 AP? ^_^ Eager to know, so that instead of hitting 5 times, I would like to hit 11 times. :P

No, Villain's Armor reduces move cost, not attack cost (AP). This is to help fleeing easier, you can land more attacks and still run if moving does cost less.

I did use the strong wooden tower shield, -6 AC +14 BC, then switched to wooden shield, now using remgard combat shield including enhance, -3 AC +11 BC +1 DR. Most shields reduce AC a little, if you do not want that use bucklers.

You will find a good amount of potions/meats in Flagstone Prison, Gargoyle Caves, and Wolf caves. You should be able to start collecting up potions and meats soon with you stats.

Gear:
Hat: Excellent choice! The extra 4% BC can be a lifesaver. I try to maximize my BC with equipment.

If you are eventually going for a critical build you will want the dagger from the end of the Iqhan Caves. Right now you stats and gear look good for your level. I recommend having both a crit and regular damage sets of gear eventually. There are spots where you may want to grind to get a legendary item where all the NPCs are immune to critical hits (like in the gargoyle caves).

Edit 2: Attack Cost (AP) is different from Move Cost (MC)
Having a low attack cost and a low move cost can allow a player to enter battle, strike, and then leave battle for a moment w/o ever letting the enemy take a swing... pretty stealthy. (Having levels in evasion helpful for this play style too)

Agreed...you are MUCH better equipped now, about as good as you can be until you get to Remgard.

Thank you all for suggestions. I'm still following the main guide for grinding:

Wolf Cave, Flagstone's Prison & Gargoyles Cave (stocking up potions, meats and rocks)

Hope I can get 2 RolS before I reach level 35.

Thanks Admin (game developer & moderator) who create this game. After I got my DoSP in Iqhan Cave, I went all the way East with my remaining 10 potions, 21 Bonemeals and 50 Meats. Although I didn't make it through, I managed to get back to Foaming Flask Tavern alive with my exp intact, I want to say that this game is very challenging. Keep up the awesome work! ^_^
