(Off-Hand) Ring Placement

This may not be a bug, but I figured I'd post it here anyway.
When you have two of the same ring on and you are trying to equip two of the same ring, the first ring will work but the second will only switch the ring you've already placed with the one your trying to put on. Hope that wasn't too confusing.
Quick example:
I have two rings of block on, I want to equip two rings if damage now. If I try to put one ring of damage on, it will work, but the second ring of damage that I try to put on will only trade places with the first ring of damage I equipped and not the ring of block. Hope that makes more sense now.

Ah yes you have to unequip the ring in the second slot.
The question I have is, how is the game supposed to know when you want to change the second slot instead of the first? Besides having the second slot unused of course.

Hm. I figure that it could perhaps detect that you are currently wearing the ring you are trying to equip, and therefore switch the target that it would unequip...
If your wearing two different rings and your equipping a new one, that's your fault
However I don't know much about coding so I figure something like this would be a waste of time to 'fix' when you can just unequip first.

moved thread, feature - not a bug...
we could add this info to the help screen?
i just figured it out on my own when initially playing,
but do we need to point this out for the public...
or possibly even change the code?
any thoughts?
---edit---
actually, after thinking about it...

can we use the new mechanic in v0.7.0...
the one we use to equip the off-handed weapon when dual wielding?
(it now appears when long pressing an item)

I think nether makes a good point as I can see the validity in it and it may even be "low hanging fruit" for the development team to change. Should it be in the top 10 priority list? Nah.
I see no reason to "point this out for the public". Whatever that means. What would you say? There's not much to say in my opinion.

good point tek, it's always been like this and no one ever asked "how"...
this thread just points out what has been happening to all of us.
and good point nether, modifying the ring equip process would add polish.

Definitly not a bug but this has come up before.
It would be a nice polish to the game to ajust this a bit, definitly not a priority in any way/shape/form.
