This game is developed for Android-based systems. You can always run an emulator for playing from your PC.

I'm not sure if you can just get the source and compile for PC-based play though.

There is also an app called bluestacks that allows some Android apps/games to run on a pc but I have never personally tried it.

OMG! That is awesome! I just downloaded Bluestacks, and the Andor's Trail.apk file.

Right click file, install with bluestacks, and it works on PC!

Note: Adding this to the WIKI!!!

Hey, first time poster here. :)

One of the market apps built into Bluestacks has Andor's Trail too.
To get your saves, download some file manager (e.g. ES File Explorer) and a cloud app (e.g Google Drive or Dropbox)

I recently tried Bluestacks and it is amazing. Now I can play AT on a computer at home, or mobile device, when I'm out and
about.

I switch saves between devices by method described above. It's really easy.

Hardy.

The only bad thing with Bluestacks is it says it's free during beta...which means at some time in the future it is going to cost ($unknown amount$). Hopefully it won't cost too much. The best part of Bluestacks is they have a version for Mac, which would broaden the audience for Android apps, and hopefully for Andor's Trails too.

The only other way I can think of is to actually download the Andor's Trail source & Eclipse, and run it through the emulator. The only issue I have had trying this is the emulator is very laggy, and I am not the only one to experience this issue, no matter what settings that are chosen.

I'm not a Java developer though, but I think there is a difference between compiling the source for Android devices and compiling for normal PC play. If there is a difference it might be worthwhile to make another download for it on the Google code page.

You can also set up a virtual box and install Android-x86 to it.
That's what I did. A bit of work to do, but when it's done, it works fine.
And for free.

Happen to have a good link for that...shame when you do have to buy Bluestacks, it's keeping my wife off my tablet & running the battery down. I looked for something earlier but all I could find was stuff on dual booting Android/Windows.

The emulator on Eclipse is laggy though...emulator would be fine if it wasn't for that.
