Map Functionality (?)

I saw the swamp top and those Hydra type mobs...died I loaded last save..before the swamp... my world map still has updated locations .. I'm Shure u wanted to know... can't wait till I'm strong enough to take on piercing hydralike creature ...

It sounds like one of the layers on tiled is off on that one. I moved this thread to the bugs section and will let the Dev team know.

in some parts of the world, when you change screens...
adjacent screens may show up on your map...
even though you may not have set foot on that actual screen / map section.

function, not bug - we are aware.

Guys,

I think what j2andis meant was a new map was visited, it thus is revealed in the world map. Hero died so the player reloads a previous save and the world map still reflects the map visit from before the reload.
That's a bug!

Yes for the same reason that maps are persistant among all characters.

Yes for the same reason that maps are persistant among all characters.
Yes, I assumed this to be the reason. IMO, this is a bug.

This is where we differ on what a bug is. To me this is an enhancement request because the world maps were developed, like most things we do, as simply as possible at first. Then once the basics are finished we enhance the feature with things like individual world maps for each character, or not revealing the map you are on if you die on it, etc.
