Day and night

I have read in other posts something about this and found it interesting enough to elaborate on..
Afew ideas could be @ night, maybe some monsters could change into harder creatures? And also after each " day " is complete, you may be charged again for staying @ the inns around the world if you want to stay... Maybe some of the citizens are only available to talk to @ day or night as well... This could also open the door for a more challenging grinding experience.. imagine grinding for a future L/E item in which you could only find during the day or night time hours

Again +1 I love the idea of creepy and though monsters in nightime. I also suggest that you cannot enter into towns (or certain places debending on your choices) in nigh time

*... please open your gates... those things are after me... im wounded and tired... please*

Guard: "go away ! shadow worshippers are not welcom here..."

Great idea! Some towns may close the gates @ night because the monsters are more dangerous

I have suggested this in the past and I brought it up during the "meet the devs" google meetings. Oskar basically said that there are no "night" tiles to use. I suggested using a map layer and was told something to the effect that this will not happen at this phase of the game's development.

yeah, Ian brought it up in the last meeting...
and Oskar took it in another direction.

he was saying something about adding a darkness layer to certain interiors...
think - caves, cellars, etc.

that would be pretty cool...
hopefully giving you a greater sense of isolation?

but still a heavy "no" on the shift from day to night...

LoL I thought I had seen this idea before .. Thought I would show some support and give it a thread for discussion... ashame it has been dismissed though.. I feel it would add depth and realism to the game... although night time wouldn't have to" look " dark to be implemented... perhaps just a text that lets you know whether it's day or night.. anyway, thank you guys for the imput on the matter and be safe in your travels through the best RPG on the market :)

I completely respect the fact this may be a dead issue, but would like to add one more thing to this topic if I may...

The game obviously does have " some " concept of time in relation to respawning... every 3 minutes the monsters respawn... that said, my idea would be simply to track this time on an hourly timer so to say, or even a half hour that you would see in a 3rd bar beneath your HP and LvL bar... when a half hour ( or 1 hour ) has passed, your bar would say daytime or night... this would coincide with the 3 minute timer already in place...

As I explained before, the change wouldn't have to " look " as though it was night time... the main focus would be the monsters or quest's it triggered when you know it's day or night...

An interesting sign in Prim reads....

" Notice to all citizens: no one is allowed to enter the mines at night "

Does this suggest it is night time @ prim? Are they protecting them from beasts that only hunts @ night?
It does seem to fit the narrative....

Just a thought
