I wouldn't worry so much about regen or corpse eater. My build has a lot of DR and BC and is almost never hit and if I do get hit, I am quickly healed with one level or Regen and one level of Corpse Eater.
So, I might save it only because everyone keeps saying that the new update should be out soon.

With Shadow Regeneration (from the Rols) and a level in either Corpse Eater Or Regeneration you should be able to make it quite far and not need very many potions.
i use at least one skill point on regeneration on all my builds, I use it when grinding for the legendary items in-between spawns.
With the next update coming up, i would recommend saving up some skill points just in case.
I'd say that you should save them as who knows what awesome choices will be available with the next update. I've got at least 6 unused skill points with my lower level dude. Not sure because I haven't leveled up for long time either, just saving those for now as well.
