Spider Cave is Evil

...at level 29

Fought my way through and on up, finally got the quest done and got my marrowtaint, on the way back, hit level 30, got my second point of combat speed and I'm happy again :D

No real point to the post, just love having four swings with my Dagger of the Shadow priests instead of the flagstone one :)

hahaha yes I agree Stompp, those spiders can be painful if your stats are not good enough. I've made the mistake of trying too early and have paid the ultimate price. :lol:

While I agree they can be evil now, they were even worse before. On the first few development builds of that area the spiders' actor conditions had no cap so you could very quickly become totally powerless if you were not watching very closely how many stacks you had.

I remember that! I was flabbergasted when my build's AC was reduced to a negative number. I fought as long as i could but didn't make it out alive. lol

The cap definitely made the caves less treacherous.

My first thought when I saw a stack of 5 debuffs was "OMG this better not stack". I was relieved when it refreshed LOL. It was still horrendous, having only 200 or so AC% to begin with, and their blocks over 150.

A hint for dealing with spiders:
Spiders have a high block chance. You can reduce it by hitting them with a Chaosreaper. Start the encounter wielding the Chaosreaper, and after every hit, check to see if they have a bad case of Chaotic Grip. (Click thebutton in the upper left, under the attack button.) Once they're gripped, switch to the Balanced Steel Sword to finish them off.

Sorry but Im not sure about this idea:
ChaR AC -30% and AD 0-2
BSS AC +32 and AD 3-7
Chaotic grip = BC -50% and DR -5
