Finally months after endless grinding,1000 + weak poisons,3500 + small empty vails and magic finder 4 the ElyR still alodes me.so I have decided its up to you guys if I should continue for this item or give up my quest for this item.your thoughts !

Dude, you asked if you should give up or keep going. The coices are yes and no.
That aside, don't give up, it is well worth it imo.

The endless grinding has started to get on my nerves a bit now.Even with mf4 I thought it would have dropped so thought it would be a fun idea to see what you guys think of this weapon.Is it worth the grind or to the should I head straight to the nearest tavern and enjoy a pint of mead while waiting for the next update

Carry on. If I am still grinding for it you should be too. Currently grinding 4 different areas with 4 different characters. I will have a full set of legendaries on all 4 of them!

I've said before and I'll say again now, the ELyR was accidentally "nerfed" by the introduction of the combat speed skill.
It used to have its allure but no longer. I used to love this weapon and want to love it again, but I simply can't.
Continue your hunt if you want the complete set, but you will find yourself not using it.

Silly Tek. You don't use the Elyr. You hang it over the mantle so that everyone knows that you have one.

Like tek said I don't think I would use it and it is the only legendary item that I'm missing.its just a shame that its lost its panache or I wouldn't even be writing this post ,
