Andor’s Trail Project Meeting #31

1. Follow-up from last meeting:
TODO dev group: Before this meeting: Please go through the list in TaskFreak and update accordingly.

TODO: Scott: Add Stan and Tom to TaskFreak

TODO: Oskar: Move tasks in taskfreak from v0.7.0 to the “future stuff”-project.

2. Completed since the last meeting:
Map of Crossglen has been upgraded

Added Tom and Stan to list of authors. (yay!)

Major milestone in AT history: Dynamic map layers completed. This means maps that change looks after some quest has been updated. Looks promising so far. Lots of refactoring on the worldmap has been done to make that happen.
Triva: Worldmap png files will change names from “[mapname].png” to “[mapname].[hash].png”, where the hash is an md5sum of the tiles that make up the map, so that a map can have several different png versions at once.

Upgraded UI to Android 4.xx

v0.7.0a1 released.

Added wild14_clearing to worldmap

Add preference: quickslot placement.

Bugfixes after v070a1 release:
Dual-wielding should not affect items with negative stats.
Apply AP cost of other items when dual-wielding.
Maevalia: return to conversation after having returned quest item
Fixes to how visual effects of actor conditions are applied
Use old map png filenames if new map filenames are not available.
Correctly restore conversation history after rotating device
Spelling corrections
Allow trading with Lodar even when the second quest is completed.
Xul’viir nerfed.
Do not display double msg about picking up gold from existing ground bags (suchas the one in the starting house)
Make Charwood goblins more visible
Remove “No rest for the guilty” from questlog if player attacks both parties.
Save spawned monsters on current map after having rested there (such as on crossglen_hall.tmx)

3. Things that are being worked on:
Tom: map adjustments?

Stan: Status of Elythara quest?
TODO: Oskar: Check with Stan on what’s actually left on it.

TODO: Scott & Oskar: We should prepare a new round of topics for a player priority survey.
TODO: Scott: Send calendar invite for doing that.

Oskar: working on finding the reason for why combat bar sometimes disappears in combat.

One step closer to release. :D

TODO: Oskar: Distribute the APK files from AT account instead of from Oskar’s account.

4. Discussion of some forum threads/posts that people have found interesting, or want clarification on, or maybe a question answered:
Skills: Weapon accuracy vs. Weapon proficiency. +12AC vs. +10AC?
Option 1: Raise Weapon prof. to +15AC
Option 2: Make Weapon prof. skill depend on the weapon’s stats (+NN% AC, where NN = AC of the weapon).

Maybe it’s a Blackberry thing that causes the gfx issues? Compare the gfx effects in the pure Android emulator (where it works).

Should we change anything about the meetings or agenda?

TODO: Content help needed that anyone in the community could help with:
For this release, we have the option of displaying longer item descriptions. Write a short background description (one or two sentences) for the Ring of Lesser Shadow.
Write background description for the Rapier of lifesteal.
Write background description for the Elytharan redeemer.
Write background description for the Bonemeal potion.


6. What should we have ready for the next meeting?
Oskar: Releasing alpha2 “any day now”, with lots of fixes. Going through list in Taskfreak, make sure they are categorized correctly and updated.

Ian: Helping with new mapmaker.

Scott: Updating wiki. Fighting spam.

TODO Scott: Email the quests completed suggested by PK17 to Oskar

TODO: Oskar: Evaluate more hosted translation sites, and pick one.

i have installed the 0.7 alpha version and i have played for a few hours
found no noticable bugs so far
keep up the good work!

Awesome. Like the 4.xx android update. I already updated the BlackBerry AT run time to Android 4.2.2 and it looks pretty damn nice. :D

And yea Scott, I've also figured out the missing tiles problem on BB.
