Hello everyone,
i'm pretty new to AT
currently level 17.
To be honest.. i have no idea what i really should do, i'm just running around slaying some creatures.. mostly snakes.. to provide me some flesh which i can sell for some gear..
my current stats:
10AP
3AP for attacks
AC 154%
15-25DMG
CC 27
Critical factor 2.0
effective critical hits 18%
BC 45%
Well, since i don't know what you guys maybe need to know to help me, please ask for it.
Tell me what i need to tell you
Questions i got are those everyone begins with i think..
what items do i have to get?
what stats do i take per level up?
Which skills should i take?
I would love if you can give me help/advice.
Thanks!

Welcom to the realm of AT
Your goal is find Andor
After your journey start in Crosglen (some quest here) , you shold to make trip in Fallhaven (some quest here). Next step might be gargoile cave, some places west from Fallhaven, Flagstoneprison, etc..

Hello Sarumar,
already read about you.. being the 'elder' here or smth
I know that finding Andor is the main quest but that doesn't help me at the moment.
I was looking for some builds which i could try out, what i should do early(like items or what to grind)
I think you know what i would like to read, what questions i want to be answered.

I would like a build which helps me to get through the game.. well obviously not to finish it(since there is no end yet) but a build which gets me to .. lets say lvl 50 or 100
at least a build which is something 'viable'
for example.. i took some of everything at the level ups.. AC BC Health DMG..but i dont know what would be 'the best'
i need smth which i can guide myself on
That build should contain, what stats and skills i should take, what items i have to get(which would be great)
maybe you can offer me 2 builds? like one offensive and a defensive or something like that
i don't want to make too much afford for you too

sherfox,
First Off, there is no "best build". Each one has it's pros and cons. With that said, where do you want to bring your build? High AC? High BC? Maximize attacks/round? Do you want critical hits? Etc

Hello Antison,
i know that there is no best, that's why i typed it in '
At the moment i got JoF and a good weapon for me with 4 AP.. its Flagstone's ... (don't know the english name)
Since i haven't played much yet i don't really know what i want..
i really would like to test this out..
So i guess i want advice on how to build a high AC char with CC maybe
and at the other side how to build a high BC char?
See through my eyes.. i have no idea how this is going on.. so 'take my hand and lead me'.
I'd like to play the first char to 50,60,70,80... by getting told how to
and after i got the experience i'll try stuff out myself i think

Even the worst of the builds can reach high levels. You have to know it takes a while to get there though.
Mine is quite bad for my level as skills appeared when i was lvl 40, and i made unwise choices on top of that.
I really recommend using at least your first skill point in increased fortitude so you never use level up points in HP.
After that, the two main paths are AC+AD (offensive build) or BC (defensive tank), but you'll need both. Just play with the proportions.
For items check out the forum. Exhaustive lists, gear discussions, polls. .. there's more than enough to read !
I also suggest you do the quests. They give good exp and fine items sometimes.
Enjoy your play !

I totally agree with that. There is really no need being taken by the hand by us AT addicted high levellers
Most time I levelled up by instinct. When I felt missing hits to often, I levelled up AC, when I had been hit too often, I got some more BC, hitting not hard enough lead to more AD next time. That non-strategy lead me to level 68 today, with a not top-notch, but fairly balanced build. Ok, I threw some of my skill points literally out of the window. File that under "experience"...
I usually avoid all strategy threads in the forum even nowadays
The only must haves in my opinion are
The weapon you have (flagstone's pride) will serve you well for now (I myself use it now and then even today)
And get two good rings as sarumar mentioned.
Enjoy your play !
That's the essence of it all!
