Do you ever?

Last night going though the spider cave with my baby boots build
I realized that I never ever flee
I stand my ground (like a good hero should) and get hammered into oblivion
Im assuming there are a few members around like this
so do you
a) flee?
b) bonemeal?
c) re-load?
d) die?
oh I forgot -
e) stand your ground!? and get beaten to a pulp

I don't flee either.
When it's against foes I generally easily kill, I reload if I die, or wait for the RoLS cure.
When it's against stronger foes, I drink my BMP. I've had more than 1200 already. I'm hooked, so I keep more than 7000 in stock.
When I just leveled up and don't mind going back to bed and also didn't save for a while, I just die.

It's a very effective strategy, and IMHO first and foremost a hero needs to survive. Dead heroes are very ineffective, except perhaps as an object lesson to up and coming heroes.

a) Hit and run tactics have proven to be very useful!
b) Bonemeal Potions are illegal and no one should drink them. :p
c) Nope, if i die i save immediately. It's my personal rule for playing. Keep the Death count true.
d) Goonies never say this and neither do I!!!!

a) No. I tried it once occasionally, but most time i got catched, so I left it be.
Nowadays I "flee" from time to time to get into the middle of the mob and cleave them all...

b) I never ever used a single bmp. Lord Geomyr is listening. (some 900 and counting....)

c) No. I must admit, that I do an extra save before entering tough areas or fight bosses.
But I never did (needed to) reload. When I die, I die unforeseen.

d) Yes, I did (six times, all in early levels, up to the twenties)

i play risky & pay the price with lost progress.

i reload last save on death,
because a death count bothers me deeply.

if i forgot to save? too bad!
reload - the heavy price for reload tactics.

alas - i digress!
about to hit level 30 with a new build...

i try to single out my targets,
i try to hit them three times,
i try to flee from battle...

"if" everything works?

i close on my target, hit three times & take a step back...
i close in again - hitting three more times & step back again...
never getting hit!

sometimes, you miss - so i boosted AC like MAD
sometimes, you can't run - so i took evasion [skill]

evasion also helps this tactic / making you hit first more often
also - QSD + JoF + CS2 - the foundation of this tactic
gear can help / lowering your move cost & such

QSD - Quickstrike Dagger (weapon)
JoF - Jewel of Fallhaven (necklace)
CS2 - Combat Speed 2 (skill)

BMP all day long!

Don't forget equipment like:
Villain's Armor and Cowards Boots which both lower Move Cost. =)

Evasion is a huge help when using hit and run tactics, but i will say against the "smart" NPCs that move... Fleeing doesn't always help.

I flee all the time

With a QSD build if I can't kill a monster in the first round I become vulnerable and vulnerable is not good. So yeah, especially when I'm fighting high HP monsters I have to be aware of that possibility and save enough AP to flee.

I never flee. There are times when I get swarmed with low hp and die. If that happens, I just reload.
