no clue what im doing please help

I am lvl 11 and am struggling on almost every part of the map to kill a monster without almost depleting all of my life which in turn cause me to spend all my gold on potions and I still don't get barely any kills which leaves me broke I don't know what the gems are for also I have been playing this game for like 4 days someone please tell me if I'm doing something wrong

What do you have equipped right now and were in the game are you (meaning what town are you close to?)

Welcom to the forums Bradhuffman !
..names of the item is enough (for now)
..gems and other loots are mostly useless.. i suggest you to sell those (save some for future needs).
Do you know "snake cave" ? ... just go south in home village.... It is really nice place for grinding meat (high selling price)

I was gonna suggest depending on his equipment to go up to loneford and guard stations and do those 4 easy quest up there then head to the prison south of home and play there depending on equipment tho saru

Its ok bro. Lol I figure he can work his way threw the 4 quest up there and depending if he takes the sword shipment to vilegard or the tavern 1st he can get some pretty good equipment when he gets the cash you know saru?

Hardened iron longsword, sharp steel dagger, bar brawlers ring, tavern brawlers ring, trouble makers gloves, unzlels defence boots, necklace of strike, cloth shirt, fine green hat. I have open quests in crosstown, fall haven, vilegaurd,, crossroads gaurdhouse, and loneford all of which the monsters are to strong to beat and the cave with the snakes is the only reason I am even level 11 and I have to use the meat while fighting there or I die
