A couple questions from a new guy

The only thread about it that shows up on google is over a year old :\

You don't have to answer every question, whatever you can is fine, thanks!

Alot of people have been saying venomous dagger is comparable to flagstones pride. In my version Flagstones pride is flat out better (exact same stats offered, just better) Is there something unique about daggers?
Also, Axes and hammers look really weak. Is there any plans to make them better? I've always been an axe guy, but only one attack per turn (and oh gods, minor fatigue) for like 2-3 more damage isn't worth it, even in the face of the no-damage quick blade. I dont think they should be flat out buffed, but they could do with tweaking. Has anyone runa functioning axe/2h?

Lastly, I have played my character for literally three evenings straight, and gotten to level 27, completed over 30 quests, and I made a lot of decisions I sorely regret. (Level 1 magic finder, level 1 Corpse eater, ONLY level 1 fortitude) and I want to redistribute my skills. Do I really have to start a brand new character?

For the last question, the answer is yes. You will have to start a new character. My only advice is to take your time and not rush things and just realize that 90% of us have made new chars either because we didn't like how our old char was built or because we messed up an important decision or just to try out new options.

Flagstone's pride is clearly better than the Venomous dagger.

I believe that high AP weapons being too weak will be addressed in the next release.

The benefit of dagger over some swords is that most daggers have 3-4 AP and with the jewel of fallheaven (jof) the AP cost drops by 1 so the dagger AP cost would be 2-3 giving the player more attacks.
As for a 2h weapon player I stick with the 2h weapon sword. Also you have to put skill points (sp) in the different fighting styles.
And for your last question you will make multiple builds. Almost everyone does. We learn from our mistakes and apply those to the new builds.

Flagstone's Pride Vs Venomous Dagger = Flagstone's Pride will come out on top every time
There is a better version of the Venomous Dagger at the end of the Iqhan Caves north of Loneford. The Dagger Of the Shadow Priest
Axes, Hammers, etc: Yes there are already plans in the works to update the current system

Starting over: It does happen (I start over with every update). My original build was lvl 120 but because the skills were introduced and i had already lost out on the chance to gain a bunch of HP (I was out about 800Hp already)

Another time after that i started over when the critical damage skills were adjusted

Be prepared to start over at anytime (But always remember that you don't have to start over if you don't want to.)

Happy hunting!

You should try to do a blank character. Just level it up and skill Increased Fortitude when it's available. Level it to level 15 and get some neutral good gear.
Save that character and you never have to do the first levels again if you don't want to.

For me, i'll start over when there is a new update.
just to play the whole story again :)
