Hello. I'm new to forum. Been playing AT for about 3weeks now. Cant seem to stop. lol I'm currently lvl 41 and have finished every quest possible. I'm currently grinding for a RoL! My current build is a def helmet, serp hauberk, JoF, Remgard Shield that has been enhanced, RoLS, Rem Boots, Heavy plated gloves, RoSE, Flagstones pride. Also at my disposal is the xul'viir, and polished RoB. Can anyone recommend something to make my build better?

Thanks for the warm greeting. So you feel one more point in dr is better than higher bc and +4HP? I remember when i bought the rem boots how hard a decision that was to make. Seemed to me the rem boots were a better option but hey im still a noob. lol

Ill put it this way. A monster hits you with 1 hit with out the 1 point to Dr (under the idea that you have no Dr) you will lose 1 hp. Now that same.monsters hits you for 1 hp and you do have a point in Dr. That monster damage would be 0 instead of 1. Having a high BC is good but it doesn't mean you wont get hit. With a high Dr in softens the attackers blow.

I don't disagree with your analysis, but it is only one scenario. If the monster hits you for 20 damage each hit then +1 DR only reduces that to 19 damage. It takes 4 hits to break even with a +4 HP bonus if all else were equal, but all else is not equal. An increased block chance means the monster is less likely to hit you in the first place. IMO (and I have not actually calculated this, but I think I am right), DR is good for monsters that don't do much damage, but BC is better for monsters that do.

I was only using that as an example.

Both examples are interesting. But considering how much effort it takes to get to remgard...i think ill stick with what i have for now. Thx to you both! : )
