- This may sound pretty newbish but I pretty much need help with everything.
I have been grinding snake cave below starting town for the longest time. That's all I do. Some quests are to hard for me, or I can't figure out have to complete them. I am currently working on the Bonemeal task (which I just need to find some more bones) & the missing pieces task, which I have no clue where to go. I just want to be able to hunt at other places mainly.
- I also need help with knowing what to do with my gold. What items should I buy? Or should I just waste it all on potions and food.
- One more question. What should I do with my extra skill point and future skill points. Also what should I do with my level up points.
Thanks,
Loki.

Hi and
welcome to the forums!
You seem to have pretty decent stats for your level.

You should put your skill point as soon as possible in "
Increased Fortitude" since it will give you +1 max
HP each level up (after you have learned this skill).
And the gold -
save it! Of course you can buy some potions and meat to reach the end of quests and the snake cave to get the
venomous dagger. But you will unlock new vendors as you progress with really good but super
expensive gear!
You should be, or soon to be, strong enough to go south of snake cave and search what's hidden there. Also, the church in Fallhaven got a basement with pretty decent XP.
But you shouldn't take my answare too seriously, I am only level 14 myself (but have spent tons of time at the forum reading posts about what to and what not to do).
Oh, and also, to achieve max damage or block chance or what build you would like to go for, try maxing the
dual wielding/two handed or
sword and shield skills as soon as possible.
Good luck achieving your goals, and
happy hunting!

Hello Loki, and welcome to the forums !
This very nice community, as you noticed, has compiled plenty of useful help resources, that you can find in the various sticky threads of this section.
As Oet said, Increase Fortitude is a must have, and helps using all your level-up bonuses in something more useful than HP !
Your selection of the "More critical" skill may not have been the wisest, as for now, you will not find that many critical-enabled weapons (required to use critical hits). I can see by your stats that you're not using any ATM. It IS a good skill however. I have invested 4 skill points in it
There are many different build orientations : critical hits, fast hits, hard hits, high resistance... all depending on how you want to play.
There are very difficult areas, not recommended until you're at least level 50, so don't worry if some place seem to hard for you, go grind somewhere easier before.
The dual wield/two handed/sword & shield skills cited by Oet are indeed very fine, but you can't get them early on (need to complete a quest fit for lv30+ players) if I recall correctly.
Last advice, do not hesitate to start a new character from scratch once you'll know the game better. Once you'll have identified your favorite playstyle, you'll be able to build a very strong character, reaching levels 20+ in no time !
Have fun !

If I were you, I'd try to pick up a few more points in AD. I suggest trying to keep your AD as close as possible to your level. Gear will help make it so you don't have to spend level points there every time but it's certainly one of the better places to put level points.
You're going to want better rings soon. You can either go directly to the Crossroads Guardhouse (head east out of the starter village then turn north and go past the rabid dogs, anklebiters, and the ugly green worms) where you'll be given a few quests to complete and once finished with that you'll have access to the vendor that sells the
Villain's Ring or if that turns out to be too difficult then you can at least head on over to Fallhaven and finish a few quests there to gain access to the Thieves Guild which will sell you the
Troublemaker's Ring.
Around level 15ish you can head south past the snake caves. The road will turn west at some point so follow it and just keep going till you see a guard standing around. He's at the entrance to a prison which is a pretty decent place to grind both XP and Gold as well as dropping a rather nice sword at the end.

Hello Loki. Welcome to the game and the boards! First of all, you have some great beginning equipment, I targeted a lot of the same stuff. Quite possibly the most beloved skill of all for starting out is Increaed Fortitude...this gives you 1 HP every time you level up, thus being able to avoid having to use level up bonuses on HP; and you get one skill for every four levels.
Do not buy potions if you can avoid it, save your gold to buy equipment and food as necessary, but lots of animals drop food or potions, like the snakes and rabid dogs and wolves, etc. Use them for "farming" food so you don't have to buy it.
Then look on the forum for more advice and where to go and at what level and also look for the quipment list, an awesome resource to see what is out there and how much it will cost once you get there.
Good luck and keep asking questions as lots of good people on here are willing to help.
Duke.

i wouldn't do dual wielding until you can get it fully.
