Can the map be allowed to zoom out fully or at lest a lot more then present? It would be nice if, while anywhere on the map (except caves and blackwater area of course), you would be able to zoom out to see your place against the maps' size in its entity. Though even half the map would be nicer then how limited the field of view is in full zoomed out position on main map.

It can not at the moment, although I wish you could zoom out a lot more then it's possible at the moment.

I've wanted this ability almost from the world map's inception. There has been talk of implementing this feature, but I have no idea of its status.

EDIT: Grammar changes.

Yes, a lot of us asked for it as soon as the world map was implemented. If I remember correctly, the devs said it would be viable but wanted to wait until more areas are added in before trying for it. Imagine how many big black blotches would be spread all over the map if we could zoom all the way out.

Another nice feature would be making annotations to the map.
Imagine someone who plays only eg once a week:
"Where was that shop where you could buy that damn xxx again?"
"I should talk to abc about xyz, where was she again?"

Yeah, we suggested being able to add points to the map, allowing yourself to leave little notes to help you. But, again, it was received well but it is low on the priority list.

The idea to be able to zoom out more has been brought up before, I even posted on one of the Project meetings saying that it was a concept i found to be interesting.

Changing Maps (Being able to alter your surroundings via quests/choices)
A new system for organizing your inventory
The ability to zoom out more on the world map
Puzzles
Dynamic lighting <---- Awesome suggestion
Battle Screen

The map is simply an HTML viewer, so you can do the same stuff like in a browser on your mobile.

With other words, this should be no problem to fix?

There is nothing to fix since this was never a feature to begin with. No I don't think it would be too difficult to add a zooming function.
