Wow! The snowman texture that you find next to the cabin on the Blackwater mountain is in or from infectionator world domination!

It is the exact same sprite, even the Y branch on one of the arms.

So cool! (lol cool)

I have seen other allegations that AT has used sprites from other games. Maybe it is just me, but I have never seen it. Everything in AT feels original, though it might just be me, as stated.

Or is this a tribute thing I am not savvy enough to know?

Andor's Trail uses mainly free (creative commons) spritesheets from deviantart.
Some of them have been slightly altered for technical or consistency reasons.

Check the About page of the game for detailed credits.

Other games may have used some of these spritesheets too. Hopefully they also respected the terms of the license set by the original author.

I see! So the sprites are not made specifically for the game.

Yep. Sparkster was my online handle when I was a teenager. One of my favorite Mega Drive (Genesis) games.

Back to the topic : nyktos used to make some sprites specially for Andor's Trail, but he's not active anymore. It'd be great to have some new graphics artists willing to contribute around !
