YASQ (Yet Another Skills Question)

I'm planning out my skills for my second character -- I made some really bad decisions on my 1st one and now in the 20's I'm regretting those choices. I'm thinking trying out a dual wield for fun...

What do you guys think about this for skills?

This post is mostly spoiler :
Skill Point Level - Skill (Requirements)
---
4 - IF1 (L5)
8 - Regen1 (30hp, IF1)
12 - HH1 -- working toward cleave
16 - WA1 -- working toward cleave
20 - IF2 (L20,IF1)
24 - Cleave1
28 - CS1 (L15)
32 - CS2 (L30)
36 - Dual Wield1 (L30L15)
40 - Dual Wield2 (L30)
40 - IF3 (L35)
44 - Special: DW (L45)
Am I going to regret not getting CS1/CS2/DW as fast as possible? CS1 seems useless w/out CS2, even with the JoF

You need DW2 at lvl 40 to get special DW instead of IF3.

Other options include Regen2 or Magic Finder, or build towards Cleave2

CS 1 is useful if you also have an item that reduces your move cost by 1 (either the Cowards Boots of the Villian's Leathor Armor). Then with JoF and a 4AP weapon you get two attacks and a chance to flee.

I would definitely get IF 3 before Re 2.

Dar! Thanks for the heads up. What does cleave2 require?

Ahh, that makes sense. I got CS1 on my other character early, but didn't find a real use for it. I also sold almost any item I wasn't using at the time, which I won't do this time around.

I got to level 4 in an about an hour, time to start grinding...

thanks folks,

Cleave2 needs HH2 and WA2.

that's logical, thanks.

I guess the other option is to get to DW2 as fast as possible and put off cleave till later?

DW is one of those skills that you only get the major benefits when you have both levels. DW 1 is just a stepping stone to DW 2.

Kinda like CS1/2 then? That makes me lean toward the second option I posted ^^^ there.

My choices for a dual wielding cleave character:
Incr Fort: Lvl 4 (5)
Regen: Lvl 8
Dual Wield @ 30: lvl 12
Dual Wield @30: lvl 16
Incr Fort (2) lvl: 20
Com Sp (1) @30: lvl 24
Com Sp (2) @30: lvl 28
Incr Fort (3) @35: lvl 32
WA: lvl 36
HH: lvl 40
Dual wield specialty at lvl 45.
Cleave: lvl 48
I just saved skill points and took all the level 30 requirement skills at that time.
