Killed Algangror before doing Five Idols. Is there any way to still do that quest?

crap that's what I thought. Is there any way a dev can reset the previous quest?

Nope. You'll have to either live with it or load an older save.
That's one of the key points of Andor's Trail: choices have consequences.

choices have consequences.
yeah, good thing, just that new players don't know if there's an alternative choice.
I was one of them, not knowing you could help the witch a second time, and could get a (strongest) necklace.
that, coupled with the (very highly) unbalanced rewards, makes the remgard quest area very frustrating to newbies.

no big deal. My Critical of 50 x 3.0 makes up for not getting Marrowtaint.

if you're doing well without it, good for you.
however, the problem is the quest itself, not whether you're well off without it.
my first char(the one I've killed the witch without knowing there actually WAS a marrowtaint thingy in the first place) is also doing well without it.

but JOF & some useless equipment upgrade vs. Marrowtaint?

I'm going for Marrowtaint.

Oh I would still liketo have it. I didn't know I wasn't supposed to kill her. If nothing else there should be another way to get Marrowtaint. None of my equipment could be upgraded.

Please just read the dialogue displayed in game carefully. It is stated you can either side with Algangror or kill her. Of course the player has only got one or two chances to do so but thus is AT with its consequences.

that's why I said it's a "almost useless equipment upgrade". you can only upgrade some of the items he himself sells, and the almost only worthwhile one is the shield. useless if you don't use one.

It DOES give a "very slight" hint, but not enough for newbies to think there's an extra quest.
it just seems tell vs. don't tell, and thats the end of it.
