bored of waiting - why isn't there a wait option

I just started and its quickly getting frustrating sitting and waiting actual time to regenerate health. Why isn't there an option to wait 5/10/until end of heal.
I might not continue because just waiting for 30 seconds between each group of enemies is tedious.
I don't care if an enemy can interrupt waiting. They do that anyway since I'm generally not looking at the screen while waiting for the heal since it takes so long.

Waiting at first is time consuming. But there are ways around it. One is to use a health potion, milk, mead, ciders and otherworldly drinks. Also there are consumables like cooked meat+3 on wait time not one point per 6 seconds. Or others that cost less but have different effects like meat+2 but has chance to poison you -3 per round. so things like Apples, carrots, and mushrooms do little +1 but can last long times. Keeping sone food and drinks on you helps, bonemetal is best once you unlock it. Good luck.

I kept playing anyway. It does become better when you can spam bonemeal potions. Potions before that were really too expensive. But you only get there around lvl15...
But, then... that becomes unhelpful again because now you have to wait out actor status between every few hits - like being dazed or fatigued. Those can sometimes go for 7 - 9 rounds.
So 40 second waits between 5 second battles all over again... just when I thought I was past the tedium.

@failgod I agree with you. Could you share your fork, or the diff/patch?
