This is a pretty interesting video about player choice in games. A lot of time and thought gets put into AT's choices so with our limited game system we try to offer a lot of real choices.

I am interested in hearing if anyone else opinions about choice or illusion of it in games.

the video has the strength to change one's opinion about the choices in games. but I have to say that sometimes we have the real control over the AT's story but sometimes it seems illusion for example if I wanted to unite prim and BWM I can't or I know that both are conspiring against each other and I want to kill both the leaders but I can't so if there are only limited ways/choices of doing something then its illusion.

and another example is why we can't just go straight into the charwood mine and kill thukuzun.
so when the player looses the ability to choose whether they want to complete a sidequest or not they have to do it just to explore some maps and then choices seems illusion but this also brings interest in the game.

and when things happens like you get a bad at crossroad gaurdhousefor helping feygaurd then we can feel we still have control on AT.

and the best thing of AT is not number of choices but consequence/result of choices which still thrills every AT player :).
