A Problem with "Spies in the Foam".

Ok... So I convinced the guard that I'll stand watch for him at the Foaming Mug Tavern.

I've tried both answers (supposedly telling the truth, and then "lying"), I've waited for 10 minutes nearby, and I've even wandered off. But apparently the guard's shift never ends.

Does anyone know if this is a bug? If it's just a quest that wasn't written right? Or if I'm doing something wrong that simply causes the quest not to advance.

(The solution I've heard most used is to piss the guard off to the point where he attacks you. Well, I've started a new game and will try that approach when I get there... but I still have the saves from my previous game and it would be nice to simply pick the game back up at the point where I left off again.)

Any ideas/input?

welcome! warlock to the comunity. and you have to just convince him to say that he will go inside in a minute or you can also kill him but he vanishes only when killed then you can talk to jolnor for quest update.

Ok. So... apparently so long as I convince him to wander off, it doesn't matter if he actually DOES, and I'm done with that part of the quest?

(And thanks for the welcome greeting. Heh. I just picked up the game about a week ago... And have been pretty hooked on it.)

That's correct :)
There are some bits in the game that need some minor to extensive revising as to how the dialogues change after finishing a quest, but that'll probably be taken care of when the game reaches the end-stage - when making the fine adjustments.
The game is still under development, after all.

Keep reporting any bugs or issues you might encounter - it'll help the dev-team a lot! (Just make sure you do a quick search in the forums to make sure the subject hasn't already been brought up and discussed.)

I started playing little over a month ago and I can't seem to stop! ^^
So, from me as well: Welcome to the community!
