Expected new content/Alterations?

Hey, guys! I've been very inactive recently and I've been quite slow on following anything concerning development.
A few questions to keep myself updated.
What are the expected changes to current content with the coming update? (New calculations etc.?)
What new content is focused on?
I still find it amusing to design random gear, spawning ideas for questlines and drawing simple maps for fun, but I am concidering not just doing it for laughs but to actually contribute.
I know current content is openly available, but I am more interested in progression maps, so that the things i cook up won't interfere with current development and discarded.
Are there any progression folders available? (= Things about to be done and plans for further future events.)
