What's some suggested equipment for a lvl 12 one handed with a shield
I have:Fine green hat,Hardened leather shirt,Jewel of fallhaven,Venomous dagger, reinforced wooden buckler,2 rings of damage +4,bar brawlers gloves and snakeskin boots.
What else do I need? :?: I have irogotus necklace in inventory for when I have a better weapon.

I like you armor choice for now, but your weapon choice needs to be addressed asap. lol. Eventually you will upgrade armor to something better, worm splint mail is a nice early target, but then one of the lightweights (chainmail or splintmail) then serpent's hauberk. unless you go the blackwater route, which is a unique alternative. But I would sell that dagger and buy the hardened iron longsword or if you have enough cash, get the sharp steel dagger.
With your current armor and irogotus's necklace, you'll have 2 DR, which will allow you to survive very well in the early part of the game, you can farm lots of meat easily.
Your rings are giving you nice damage, so you want to add other equipment that will raise your Attack Chance.

I wouldn't be so inclined to switch JoF to Irogotu's necklace later in the game. Consider this. With a 4AP weapon such as the venomous dagger you currently get 2 attacks per round or 1 attack per round and a chance to flee. With Jof that changes to 3 attacks per round or 1 attack per round and a chance to flee. When you can get Combat Speed 1 you still get 3 attacks per round, but if you get either the Villain's Leather Armor or the Cowards boots (both of which reduce your move cost by 1) you get 2 attacks per round and a chance to flee. When you get Combat Speed 2 you get 4 attacks per round, or 2 attacks per round and a chance to flee, even without the armor or boots.

I agree with Duke that Irogotu's necklace is more useful early in the game. Having a DR of 2 makes a very big difference when the monsters don't do much damage. It's enough to make you completely impervious to many of the early ones, and it greatly reduces the damage from many others.
