Anyone know of any comparable games out there to try till the next update comes out? I think I see Gargoyle trainers in my sleep.

Right now I switch between this and a puzzle game called alchemy.

The other RPG I mainly play is Legends Arcana, its more action-oriented than Andor's Trail but also pretty fun, and its another game where the developers are still involved and making updates (and working on a sequel), and taking suggestions. Its not free, but its well worth the $1.99, and I generally switch around between these 2 games.

@Mino: Andor's Trail isnt a dead game, but rather a 1 developer hobby-time game with a few contributors. Thats why its free.

I play alchemy too, but at 1/3 completed is being increasing harder AND boring. Other games I play, but not comparable to AT, include minesweeper, pool, reversi and some bubble game to name a few. The closest game I have that is kinda similar is pirates.

I think you might have misunderstood what I was saying. I meant that Andor's Trail is a game where the developers stay involved and keep doing updates and take suggestions, and the game I was suggesting is also like that (where the developers are still involved and taking suggestions and doing regular updates). I wasn't saying that this game is dead, far from it, and even though its still a work in progress what we have so far is already a lot more than most other games, as far as replay value (especially with that RoLS out there, and no level cap).

If you're looking for a quick rpg, there's one called "Gurk", its an 8-bit game so it gives you that old school feel, and its turn based, so its probably more similar to Andor's Trail than my other suggestion of Legends Arcana, but it doesn't get updates so I think what you get is it. Its fun though and you can upgrade and buy equipment, and its a group, so you upgrade between 3 characters. And this one's also free.

Lately, I've found the non-rpg games to be fun at first but I lose interest over time (like Angry Birds or Robo Defense, which were 2 I played a lot when I first got them).

Try Legends of Yore. Roguelike, can be played on any platform, also constant development. (But if extremely frequent updates bother you -- sometimes more than 1 per day! -- stay away from it.) I dig the 8-bit graphics! :)

You could also try a nes emulator and give one of the dragon warior games a go. I also like Caligo chasers. Its an action/slash rpg with anime style graphics.

I'm now playing Gailardia while waiting Andor's Trail update. It's an old jrpg style game like the FF series. Make sure you download the English version if you wanna play.
