Hey there y'all. I just had a question about BC and character level. My character is level 25, and has 15 base damage and 110 base attack chance. When should I begin pumping points into my BC is what I am basically asking. If you want me to list my stats and equips, lemme know. But my BC with equips is 30 and I'm starting to run BWM. Not a problem hitting anything, really and no problem doing damage. So, will I be here long enough to start pumping my BC, is what I am really asking.

Hello Dump_Trukk, and welcome to the forums.

There is no simple answer to your question, because it depends on the type of build you want. However, your actual chance to hit a monster, and the monster's chance to hit you, depends on the difference between AC and BC, i.e. AC-BC. The important thing to know is that the chance to hit does not depend on AC-BC in a linear way, so as it gets greater you get diminishing returns. To be more precise, it looks like this: So at level 25, your AC is OK. If the monster has a BC of 50 then AC-BC is 50, and you have a 50% chance of hitting it. Although your BC is much lower, it is also OK. If the monster has an AC of 70, then AC-BC is 40, and the monster has a 42% chance of hitting you (you will find monsters with those AC and BC stats on BWM). So at this point you could could go either way. It depends on whether you want an attack oriented build, a block oriented build, or a more balanced build.

Okay, first thing first, thanks for welcoming me. I appreciate this. Second, thank you for the graphic. It answered my question in a very specific way. Now, to understand this more, the graphic takes into account your base AC and BC or does it take your AC and BC into account, as affected(effected?) by your equipment?

AC and BC are your total AC and BC, including base and all bonuses from equipment and skills.

I just realized the AC you gave is base, but the BC you gave is total. You will have to adjust what I said based on total AC.

Yeah. Just got through the first Charwood quest. Um. Spent my 4 stored skill points. Wow. Blackwater Sword, Helm, and Leather Armor with the Light Armor Proficiency level 3 and One handed Sword skill level 3...everything paid off. Waaaay paid off. Isn't all the blackwater stuff cursed?

It is, but it is not adding up! Meaning, if you wear 4 Blackwater pieces, you only get "cursed" one time!
So, you can easily "fix" these debuffs, because the stats are really great!
