Change character look

I know in the next update we can choose a new character appearance, yet not on old saves.. ( unless you toy with the script) my question is, how hard would it be for you guyses to allow us to change or players' appearance?
Also it would be cool to change our players looks when we equip items...

Character customization is something a lot of people like in a game. Having a few appearances to choose from in the start would definitely be great.

It depends on the scope of the change. Selecting another sprite from the available ones wouldn't be too hard, if we do it from the main menu. Doing it in-game wouldn't fit with the "stick to your choices" philosophy.

That would be hard, because of the number of images to create, and to make them all fit on all characters with every possible combination.

You are right there zuke. What about the ability to change our current character to one of the new ones, with out starting a new game. I was able to do it using a hex code editor and also a script reader editor. But that is a pain

It's been a while and I was wondering if it is possible now to change an old character to a new one?

Hi Odin,
to change an existing character into a new one - what should it do? Forget all quests, items, skills and xp, so that you can replay the game? We have the "start new game" function for that
I recommend to start a new game, especially if your last play was some time ago. That will bring most fun for you.

Didn't you create some cave maps rather long ago? They will come to life soon.

I think, he meant to change the sprite…
It would be nice to have that possibility and a load of additional sprites for the li'l guy, so you can change the look according to you gear/weapon preference.
Or to have that changed automatically, when yor switch from light to heavy armor or such.
On the other hand I appreciate your concentration on developing more content than on changes to the game engine.

Yes I did indeed make some maps ... WOW are they really going to be used ... That's fantastic ... over the moon about this

I did mean the sprite ... but ist not that important ... just curious.
Because way back I made a strong starting character that hadn't done any missions. No choises ... blank character of lvl 27 .
