The Unarmored's Weapon of Choice

I'm at the beginning stages of building that "feline" (a.k.a Unarmored's) hero and I am thinking about which weapon to build this character around. I'm thinking with all of the losses of block chance by not having armor, wielding a weapon that provides positive block chance might be the best approach. but if memory serves me correctly there are not too many quality weapons that provide such a block chance gain and the ones that do tend to be two-handed. But with shields not considered armor it would be a good idea to grab a one-handed weapon.
Thoughts?

There are a couple of new weapons in Stoutford that might be interesting. The Sharp steel rapier has a BC of 5, and crits. There's also a whip in Stoutford, with a BC of 7 and crits. The whip is in its own category, so you can't boost it using skills, but until you get to that point in the game it's an option.
There are no one-handed weapons with a BC higher than those.

Fencing blade also has 5BC (iirc)

Yep, the fencing blade is 5BC and 4AP so it gives you a few opportunities. Dual wield a pair of those with the benefits of unarmoured and you may have something interesting going on.

I don't see these weapons as ones to use as a center piece to a character's build.

I think that I'm going to go with the LifeTaker sword as I don't currently have a character utilizing it, and I will go with a shield.
