Critical Immunity?

Hello. I started playing it from beginning again and wanna build critical but I know Hirahtil (forgot his name) in Lodar's Cave is immune against it. I wonder if there are many more enemies who also are immune? In that case crit build might not be worth it?

Quite a few things are immune.
Mostly ghosts, gargoyles.
Critical build is still worth it though.
Although personally I only use 2 points at most on better critical.

All demons (e.g Alaceph), all ghosts, and all constructs (e.g. Jelly, Gargoyle, Glowing abcess, etc) are immune to critical hits. Everything else, which is the majority of monsters, is susceptible to them,

Hmm ok. Guess I should have another backup build when crit doesn't work. I wanna play something different this time as fewer but hard hits :) Like the flai in Stoutford weapon shop.

Well I also have a question about critical immunity

I assumed that every attack you roll and decide if it would be a crit

But when it originally would be a critical hit, but the monster is immune to them, then what would happen?

The hit would be counted as normal hit, or the monster completely blocks it, namely, takes 0 damage?

Or is the critical immunity determined before you roll for crits?

If the monster is immune, you have a 0% chance to make a critical hit.

Have been thinking about Villain's blade + Iron Flai which I believe would make it multiplier 3 instead of 2, right? But if there are critical immunity here and there then I guess two Flais for flat dmg is better than having 3x.

You just get normal damage.

Yes. I carry weapons for most monsters, and other ones for monsters that are crit immune.

Such a hassle for me lol. Will just wield two Iron Flai all time unless I find better ones later on.

Thanks for the reply
Well after these I still don't wanna try crit build since it seems difficult on skill choice
Or maybe I am just too lazy to play several builds
