Not sure where to go from here

Ok so I'm L25 and I'm not strong enough to do Charwood, the ice mountain, or the forest maze. I've completed all the other quests I can, I think.
Should I just grind for a while?
Is there more stuff way up to the Northeast?

Current stats:
A$ 5
AC 159
AD 14-21
Crit: 25 x2.0
Eff Crit: 17%
BC 83
DR 2

Active quests:
Search for Andor
Lost treasures
A lost potion
The agent and the beast
Clouded intent
Destined for greater things
Surprise
The roots of love

Thanks,
Jamie

You have very low AC though, consider Flagstone or Wolf cave?

Yeah I consumed all my bonemeal on the way up Blackwater mountain. :)

I did explore the northeastern region, found a whole bunch of Izthiels, consumed most of my meat, bonemeal and bleeding wound potions to get out of there alive. Didn't attempt the cave.
I also found a cave full of Strong Larval Burrowers that did their best to kill me. But again, I exercised the better part of valor.

@__Demo__, ugh I just leveled up and chose BC. Oh well, next time.

For Skills, I have:
  • Bark Skin (1)
  • More Criticals (1)
  • Quick Learner (1)
  • Increased Fortitude (1)
  • Regeneration (1)
  • Fighting style: Weapon and shield (1)
Any suggestions for the next skill?

Equipment:
  • Vacor's boots of attack (AC+9, BC+2)
  • Troublemaker's gloves (AC+7, Crit+4, BC+4, HP+1)
  • Ring of backstabbing (AC+17, Crit+7, BC+3)
  • Ring of the guardian (AC+19, AD+(3-5)
  • Superior iron shield (AC+9, BC+15, DR+1)
  • Flagstone's pride (A$4, AC+21, AD 1-6, Crit+10x2.0
  • Shielding necklace (BC+12)
  • Rusty heavy cuirass (A$+1, AC-5, BC+17, HP+2)
  • Goatskin hat (AC+5, BC+3)
Any suggestions to swap something out? I do have the Blackwater iron sword, which has better stats, but I would lose my Crit+10x2.0.

Finally- Is there any reason to keep these items:
  • Demon heart
  • Lutarc's medallion
  • Animal hair (other than for making cure poison potion)
  • Redfoot beast hair
  • Insect shell

  • Swap Rusty heavy cuirass to Lightweight chainmail
I don't know how you want your character be, but do not play with items that increase your attack cost
If you want further suggestions you gotta tell us your playstyle, but looks like you are going to play defensive build

Don't throw any unique items away. If you don't want to carry them around drop them close to home, where you can easily find them again.

I guess I like a balance. I don't want to keep running back to Fallhaven for more boneless potions.

For me i suggest pure offensive build

Because most of the time you are the first turn....
So why not killing it before its turn comes?

If you want something kind of balanced, then here are some suggestions:

There are 3 kinds of purchaseable rings:
  • Polished ring of backstabbing
    +21 AC / +4 AD / +7 Crit
  • Ring of the protector
    +20 AC / +0-3 AD / +14 BC / +3 HP
  • Villain's ring
    +25 AC / +3-6 AD / +4 HP
or probably you want the +3 DR ring or others, but those are non-purchaseable

And probably the most widely used necklace
  • Jewel of Fallhaven
    -1 Attack cost
or the upgraded-version one, Marrowtaint, which is a quest reward
maybe these two are not suitable for your weapon, then consider the necklace of the undead

For armour and weapon it's all about your choice tho
Dual wield, two-handed weapon, or weapon with shield, I don't know, my build is none of these

I think I would just leave it there and let you explore by yourself.... or maybe you can just search for spoilers
