First post here. I actually got a forum account just to post that last night I FINALLY found my first RoLS last night after 11,890 Shadow Gargoyle Trainer / Master kills! Well over 3000 Small Rocks, and many many hours of farming. There should be a thread just for folks to post how long it took them to get Legendary Items. With .01% chance on each kill, I think my almost 12000 kills should rank pretty high on the "unlucky" list.

See viewtopic.php?f=2&t=703&start=1540. All 155 pages of it . With 12,000 kills, and no MF, you are 69.88% likely to get one. So unlucky, but not as unlucky as you might think

Currently at about 9k kills with 1 level of Magic finder as well. This is dumb.

Hello Fawik.

I managed to get my RoLS today in 7.5.

My Magic Find is +2, and my SGM kill count is A VERY LOW 1262, my SGT kill count is 1172, so total about 2400 of them killed. I got my ring at EXACTLY 600 rock drops.

What caught me off guard completely was that --- I had done nothing in the way of questing previous. I worked up to level 15 and then went to the cave determined to grind til I got the ring. Afterwards, I started questing... and I managed to grab the Black Defender on only my 6th Crimson Jelly.

Sometimes you just get lucky. Other times, you grind for weeks... and play the waiting game.

Now, if you excuse me.... the Thieves Guild beckons. Something about me needing to get the Key of Luthor or some such prize.

Don't despair everyone! I'll make sure I don't get a RotLS until 100,00 kills so anyone after me won't have any reason to complain . Seriously though, I'd suggest starting a new character to break the monotony a bit.

save the rocks, they make handy pathfinders. Just ask Hansel or Gretel.

Was excited about it, decided to come post. Got my first ROLS after 790 total kills.
You can get 2 of them, right?

You can get even more, there's no limit.
You might already have 790 already, but that would be _very_ legendary
