irogotu broken in 0.6.8

I'm trying to finish the cave quest, get all the way down to the bottom and engage irogotu. He says his dialog that ends with 'this cave is mine' yada yada... but there is no radio bbutton nothing to select and next is greyed out. Anything I can do? Let me know if there is more info we need.
EDIT: my bad. I guess I initiated the qwest in a previous game, but this time I never talked to the guy at the entrance. :/
