Axe and Pickaxe (Shortcut Ideas)

Post by eddibrown »

It would be grate to get new quests were youre able to free the shortcut to Prim (rail road) so you dont have to walk through the dark cave every single time - pickaxe.
Also this might be a good time for Prim to reboost the economy and ge t better items.
Also theyll start to open the cave in the weat again and there will be another big cave with quests and monsters.
Perhaps youve to free parts of the cave one by one from monsters and the citizen of Prim will reward you and move deeper in in the cave.

Same by using an axe in one or the other quests to make a short cut into the green maze or something.

Perhaps while talking about short cuts :D
Maybe a boat or bridge to Remgard? or Maybe partialy the water will move back and give way to a small path near the lonely guy who tried to find a short cut ;)

Maybe include stones and trees that can be taken down if youve the tools for it?!

A shortcut to Prim has been discussed. One already exists for the Green maze.

I have thought about one to Remgard, but I would force it to be late game by making you hire a team of bridge engineers, for, say, 75,000gp.

I don't really believe in the shortcut to Prim, because there are so many existing dialogues about the collapsed tunnel in Prim, BWM and Stoutford, which would have to be changed then.
And be honest: the dark mine is nothing in comparison to the long way to Remgard or Lodar

There could be a shortcut across the mountain, from Crossglen. A nasty, dangerous, path, that has nothing to do with opening the mine. Again, being able to access this path should not be possible until later in the game.

An idea I've thought about since the mermaid quest.

That's also crossed my mind a few times over the years.

Let's just not get shortcut crazy. I've been reading a lot of talk about shortcuts here shortcuts there. I'm one to get really annoyed about the back and forth round trips across the world of AT (I feel the ones that are currently in the game were done by the prior engineering regime because they felt it made the game harder) but sometimes it's just needed for realism.
