No globe trotter for monk

I just noticed that the globe trotter boots are leather boots, therefore not suitable for unarmed way if the monk builds.
It is kind of frustrating to help Halvor through his questline and then not be able to spoil the fruits of this quest. Could we have Kayla give you a choice of fine boots instead, one of which is cloth? After all, she is THE cloth NPC, right?

I agree with you. I brought this up with the team for builds using heavy armor

Feline boots are much better.
My character is wearing:
Shimmering hat, the robe from Stoutford,
Feline gloves and boots, along with the necklace of the undead.

15 AC, 10 BC + lowers cost of equipping items in battle (not a big deal), lowers move cost by 1 ap. And has clumsiness.

Globetrotters
25 BC, 1 DR, 5 HP, lowers move cost by 1 ap

The only real advantage the feline boots have for the monk is that they are cloth and they give the 15 attack chance. Don't get me wrong these are huge advantages especially for the monk. But when you really boil it down the globetrotter boots are probably better.

The point is that feline boots + feline gloves are way better that any pair of boots + gloves (particularly because they're avalaible at the beginning of the game) + (there are'nt lots of good cloth gloves apart from feline... the second best pair of gloves is Handsewn snakeskin gloves, with 3AC and 7BC, or assassins gloves if you're looking for some crit) And considering that clumsiness is not stackable, it makes +25AC and +11BC, which is indeed a lot. To be honest,

if there was one cloth equipment to add in the game, it would be a decent hat.
There are 4 cloth hats in the current version : green hat and fine green hat (which sucks), plus Valugha's shimmering hat (you have to farm it which is not really convenient. LE/EX items are in the game as collection items, they are not supposed to be the only alternative to get a decent hat) and Woodcutter's feathered hat (but if you get it you can't get Marrowtaint, which is the best Necklace in the game).
I have a character playing Way of the Monk, and I'm stuck at farming those Plaguestrider Masters... Really really boring.

You can get a decent cloth hat in "Surprise?" already.

Woodcutter's hat is worth getting.
Once you get necklace of the undead marrowtaint isn't worth wearing.

I could not disagree with you more. The marrowtaint is hands down the best item in the game. The NoUD is nice, don't get me wrong, But you have to build your character around this necklace and plan for it. The marrowtaint goes with every single build.

The part of MT that I care about most is the part JoF also gives you, so Woodcutter's hat and JoF could still be worth siding with the town for some builds.
