Fierce lava rock

Will there be a use for the fierce fire rock?
I have 13 so far and was wondering should I keep farming them?

I have never obtained more than one fierce lava rock, although my fierce lava rock has disappeared from my inventory. (cooled off?)
I can then obtain another..
How do you gather multiples? Do your FLRs also disappear/cool off?
Side note; the avatar for stuffed rat in inventory looks just like the avatar for the cold lava rock.

When collecting the lava rock drop it and get another and repeat. So far they have not disapeare. But that's how I've done it
