I was just thinking. Best case scenario, if i kill the 15000 or whatever trainers in the 32 hours it would take to get the statisstical 100% drop of the ring, with it being a 0.01% drop per kill or whatever, chances are still astronomicaly high that I still wont loot a ring. I could double or triple the kill requirement and still never loot it. And that's a LOT of grinding for a ring that doesn't make me godlike in a game like this. I've already spent atleast 16 hours at trainers. Id like to vote for a 0.10% or 0.50% drop rate or something to be implemented. If you want to make something 0.01% I suggest it be something near godlike because in a game like this it'll be near impossible to get witout incredible luck. And anyone THAT lucky should hit up a casino or buy a lottery ticket. Im not giving up on farming the ring because the build im aiming for almost requires 2 of them, im just putting out some thoughts and opinions.

Something better will come along before you get one of these rings and then you will quit and start working on the next best thing.

p.s. I'm sure I will do the same thing!

Congrats!

I am still without.

BTW, most of the shadow gargoyle trainers I kill either drop gems or potions. I very rarely get stones.

Congrats! Its nice to finally get confirmation that someone got the ring. So are the stats good, compared to the +6 damage ring, and was it worth it in your opinion?

I told somewhere else that IMO its not worth hunting for it. (Compared to the mighty +6 damage rings)

Well it put me from a 1 in 5 chance to crit to 1 in 4, I only lost 3 dmg and gained 15% hit. With another ring ill lose another 3 dmg, gain another 15% hit and ill crit 1 in 3. With my dagger that should be a crit before im even attacked if I initiate the battle. And I can already almost roll all the trainers before im ever hit. Its worth it Imo

The ring may not power you up but trying to find it sure does. Spending that many hours on trying to find the ring does make you godlike. The guy that found it gained 18 levels. Lvl 28 is way higher than necessary to defeat every monster on the field without using more than 2 bone meals. I do agree that it should be easier to find though. I've given up on it. If I stumble upon it that's fine but it's not that amazing of a ring to spend that much time on.

First of all, I'd like to thank Oskar for pointing out that such an item existed. I can confirm this item to exist as I have acquired one. If I shared my stats with you, you would most likely become discouraged in attempting to acquire one yourself. However, for those that desire the ring to be easier to acquire now, I disagree. That is one side of the coin. As most of us have little else to do while we wait for for content and bug fixes to be released, this is just a goal to help pass the time while we build our stats. The other side of the coin is that for those who play this game for the first time upon it's completion, I feel that the chances for obtaining this item should definitely be increased. My question is, is it possible to obtain more than just one of these rings?

I've just hit level thirty and haven't moved from these caves since I found them lol. Here's my opinion, if the ring's stats stay as they are I think the drop frequency should be increased. As it stands it doesn't strike me as anything amazing, at least as compared to the rings of damage. My biggest problem with the ring is its value. Somebody posted that is sells for little more then 500 gold. Realistically, for the simple reason that it is so rare, shouldn't it sell for conservatively ten times that amount?
I don't have a problem working for rare items... but I'd rather they were more worth the hunt. Congratulations to those lucky few that found one, I'm jealous :p
