Here is my finished wizard. All quests are done and it WAS NOT easy!!!! For the first 30 or so levels, the level ups alternated between AD and AC. Constantly needing to potion-up. The last 15 level-ups, I think 13 went to BC. Still a huge challenge. My stats show 9 deaths, but honestly it is closer to 20.
Skills: Weapon accuracy (1), Hard Hit (1), Cleave (1), Unarmored (3), pole proficiency (2), combat speed (2), Increased fortitude (1), Regeneration (1), W.S. 2-handed weapon (1)

Bonus points for anyone who knows why my wizard's name is Ozzie.

The sceptors are quite frankly pretty weak

It is but of doing a honest build then yes. That's why I asked for a wand weak but still a build item nothing for range. Just a weapon for that class

You guys can do a build base character
Or do as we do now.
The wand would be like the way of the monk. A class build.

Your engine can do it. It would be a lot of work to do the stats

Agree. Since, magic is not allow for us (players) to use it in this game (i.e throw fireball). A war wizard is better than a magic wizard.

1. Staff< with effect > and Sword< with effect > like Gandalf
2. Barehand < with effect like Doctor Strange or Ancient One[ can be obtained through a ritual or training smh ] >
3 Spellbook< make it offhand equipment/ accessory but add some constant effect[ buff of debuff toward enemies or hero ]

Based on the available skills right now maybe these could be fit for a wizard/sorcerer @_@

1. Strong Mind [ 3-7 ]
2. Pure Blood [ 3-7 ]
3. Enduring Body [ 3-7]
4. Rejuvenation [1]
5. Dark Blessing of the Shadow [ 1 ]
6. Combat Speed [ 2 ]
7. Increase Fortitude [ 2 ]

Apparently I can't decide how I can put it's offense skill except combat speed and maybe cleave.
Same also with the proficiency because some wizards uses barehand, One handed sword, spear and dagger/ athame beside staff or scepter.
Same to armour proficiency because sometimes mage uses light armour< mostly leather > besides traditional cloth armour.

I'm kinda preserving " Destined for Greater Things " quest because I don't want to waste proficiency points and also Oeygth Crystal....

( Anticipating New City and Trades I guess XD )

So mostly immunity skills are what I can think of when it comes to creating a wizard character

Actually I was thinking, since using projectiles is all wrong for this style of gameplay, it would be best to use spells that enchant items, create portals, set traps, ward areas, or even just set proximity alerts. No direct combat spells with the possible exception of enchantments on self that deal damage to enemies within melee range.

Unfortunately, those things are not generally possible with the existing game engine. We could do something where a specific area is warded, or a specific item is modified (both in fact already exist), but we can't make that general.
