Wands

Can we add a magician character

The wand (only can be used if you decide to go the way of a maji

Same dmg as a scepter or staff but with the bonus of confusion (% is up to debate)
Must us cloth for most amor but maybe a wolf head cap somehow?? Or inflict sticky
Sticky makes them slow and only bit once
This could help with a magician build. But allow animal armor, and has to be healed only by nature?

Sorry. No wands. Potions and conditions are as close as it's going to get to magic.

Agreed,. it's a ranged weapon.

Within the limits of the game's engine, a wand could simply be a one-handed staff, that causes no physical damage, but inflicts a ( or one of several) condition on each hit.

Yes indeed, a wand could have a damage modifier of 0% to have no physical damage, and some nice conditions inflicted instead :mrgreen:
It also should be defined as bihander, because you have to concentrate too much to do different things with the other hand.

On the other hand one of the basic laws is: no magic.
At least no active magic - magical items like rings etc are ok

Ah but an amulet that allows you to teleport to a beacon... ? You place the beacon somewhere of your choosing by going to that location then drop it from your inventory. Perhaps a maximum of 3 beacons? Each beacon and the amulet would require its own quest? Feedback please?

Interesting. I agree bcz teleporting saves time and life :D especially for permadeath players.

Sorry to disillusion you, but such teleport won't work. It isn't possible with the engine to teleport to a player defined position. And even if it was, we won't realize it because then players would be able to glitch into areas that should be barred, or even lock themselves in.

There are and will be exceptions at specific places, but no free teleport.

Also: although long distances are cumbersome, they have at least the advantage that you get XP in a more interesting way than just stupid grinding...
