Savegame files

When I transferred my savegame file to another device and loaded it, I noticed that the file is outdated (my hero hasn't finished any new quests, doesn't have new gear, etc...). Also, I noticed on my current (old device) that if you move savefile or delete it, you can still load that file, even though it's not visible anymore in andors-trail folder (that file is updated and contains all new stuff).

What I had to do. Delete the app. Install the 7.13 from here. And then download 7.14.
It will migrating saved data and it should work

Do I need to do it on old device or new one? How can I install version 7.13?

If you are playing the new version 7.14 you need it on what ever device you are playing

7.13

static/AndorsTr ... 7.13.2.apk

Then install 7.14

I had to do that, and it will migrate your saves

That should be fixed.

CUCHULAINN3's suggestion should work. Maybe you have to deinstall the existing Andors-trail app first.

The complete link is: static/AndorsTrail_v0.7.13.2.apk

But in the long run you'll have to get used to a new directory for the files: Google had enforced that game data must be saved in the app directory. The old directory no longer works.

Of course you can copy your files in there, but this isn't possible any more with every tool or from PC directly.

One way that seems to work good is to copy the savegames and the wordmap folder to 'downloads' and then copy these with e.g. Total Commander app to
Android_data/com.gpl.rpg.AndorsTrail/files/andors-trail/

I upated the game from Google Play, but when I started no migration of the save file directory took place.
The app still uses the old directory, A new save file was created there and when I renamed that directory,
the load button was greyed out. Same behaviour after de- and reinstallation. On the first start after reinstalling
I was asked for the permission to access storage.

Did I get something wrong and the new directory is only used on newer Android versions (7.0 here)?

I had to install 7.13 first then download 7.14 over it and it migrate the files and worked
