We are getting on with modernizing the game engine. Looks like our next release will be available at F-Droid again!

I haven't switched from f-droid to the latest playstore version so there will be plenty of new stuff for me.

Is there going to be a separate beta with content under old engine before this modernization is complete?

Don't panic, it won't take that long. The engine isn't really modern now, but we can already use the actual AndroidStudio again for compile.

Also, (and I hope this isn't a dumb or repeated question...) do you envision that when all the "mondern-ization" is done that our old saves will work under the new version?

BTW, what does "modernization" entail here? Any specifics about the benefits a player can expect or hope to see compared to the current engine?

The changes to the engine are mostly technical, you won't see them in the game.

But this will make some of you happy:
The amount of killed monsters will be shown in the monster info window.
