Is anybody else thinking this forum is slow today, I'm on 2 other forums and they are working fine so idk.

There was mention of the server being upgraded today. I noticed that it was slow as well.

I am pretty sure that this will not be a problem tomorrow after the server switch is complete.

True but I thought while its switching we won't be able to access the forum

I don't know much about the process involved, but I am guessing that it is not a quick process.

Things seem to have sped up now, maybe they are completed.

Ya things have sped up. And I kinda know the process but I'm guessing different forum types act differently???

I am still finding that some topics take forever to open, and it is not related to the size of the topic. (That would make sense). But something with only one or two posts can take five to ten seconds to open, or one second or less. I was thinking of taking my phone in to the Verizon store to see if they could run a virus check on it. Is it just this forum? Or am I the only one still having speed problems now, meaning it is indeed my phone? I don't visit other forums, and my email and shopping sites seem to be operating normally.

Lol, no it's not just you, took ages for the reply page to load just now and I am on a laptop ;p

Well, at least I'm glad that my phone hasn't caught a virus from some stupid spam email that opened accidently as I was trying to delete it.
So what is the problem, and can anything be done about it?
Do any of you computer people out there know anything about it? I know they said the server was being changed or updated or whatever, but is that not supposed to improve things, not make them worse, especially when there was no problem to start with?
Sorry, I just read that over and it sounds like I am blaming you computer guys, which is not at all what I intended. Just wondered whether any of you have an explanation. But as long as I know it is not just my phone, it's not really that big a problem.

How often does it happen? If it is happening often I will have a talk with our hosting company.

For me it happens more often than not, but I can'twork out a pattern. It can take up to 1 minute to load a page irrespective of the amount of replies. This is true of both my phone, an HTC Sensation and my computers.

This will happen whilst I am browsing other sites with no difficulty, so I suspect the issue is the hosting server. Whilst frustrating, it's bearable as the game is worth it
