This topic has been brought up many times. We are not going to provide the ability to buy back skill points. AT is a game about choices and consequences. So you have to live with your choice of what you spent your skill points on and pay the consequences

What about the second part - the using/selling of the crystal to obtain/acquire more skill points?

You can go back to Charwood and use the crystals as currency as many times as you have crystals.

Glad I saved before trying that ... it only allows you to put a skill point into an armor/fighting style ... very much not what I was asking

What were you asking?
Are you asking to be able to spend crystals to gain a skill point?
That is not something that is supported in the game engine without having to make a coding change. It's doable, but it takes more work to accomplish.

Personally, I am against being able to use oegyth crystals to buy arbitrary skills.

I also supported the idea at one point. Not anymore though.

Keeping AT playstyles restricted and unique amongst players really makes the game super interesting.

For instance, im running a "Crit" build with 12 Max AP and Attack Cost of 3. With the "Dual - Wielding" skill + Daggers... I do pretty good DPS with one-shots 90%of the time.

The only consequence of this build is when facing Mobs the are IMMUNE to crits. Which im fine with. No fun in being too OP 🤷🏻‍♂️

In an attempt to counter that ive gotta now go for skills like Dodge, Evasion, Taunt and so on.

You can also do insane Damage with "One-hit" builds with Two handed weapon and their respective proficiencies.
