Blackwater cave question

I have attached a screenshot of the map from GitHub and circled a part of the dark caves that appears to have an exit from a room. Should I be able to walk to the other rooms via this opening?

These maps are dynamically determined once per new character. If I remember correctly, there's about 4 to 6 different variations.

I have this opening on my map but I can't walk through it.

What do you mean you can't walk through it? Can you step into the doorway and then you're blocked? Or can you not step into the doorway at all?

Correct, I see the opening and can step into it but I'm blocked from going any further.

There are six variations of this map. There is always a way through, so if you can't go one way, try something else.

I don't appear to have any options. Attached a couple screenshots, the green dot is the first room after entering the cave. The two red dots are the ladders I can reach through the level below which only has two rooms, each with a ladder

You can do it. Once you figure it out you will kick yourself
