After about a year I am finally off of the Spam list and back in AT forums. Wow that was a long and brutal wait.

Pew Pew! Third spam reported! We need to fry the spammers! Cook it until it is golden brown!
If people want to spam why don't they just make the spam more hidden, less obvious or put it on to the profile page? I've seen much better spam of forums. :P

I hope it's okay to sign the spam posts.
I think the "!" tab is the right thing for it or, when I am too late for it (too much spam already), I will PM Zukero again.
So, if I found any spam ...

We have two counter-measures against spam:
- The "Stop forum spam" (SFS) extension, which checks registration against a database.
- The "Ban hammer" extension to easily ban/remove posts/report to SFS any user.

SFS allowed to cut spam by a factor 20 at least, and with ban hammer, I clean it all up quickly.

I don't think we can do much more.

I thank you all who take the time to report spam, but I'm not notified of these by email so it doesn't make the clean-up happen any faster. I'm checking the forum almost every hour in general (except when I sleep), so it should stay under control anyway.
